EnquireSteele-Perkins’ career has seen him travel widely, making significant bodies of work in his home country of Myanmar, as well as Japan, Africa and Afghanistan, all of which have received critical acclaim. He has earned major honours—including the Leica Oskar Barnack Award (1988), the Robert Capa Gold Medal (1989), and the World Press Photo Award (2000)—while institutions such as the Tate (London), the V&A (London), the National Portrait Gallery (London), the National Library of France (Paris), Tokyo Fuji Art Museum, the National Gallery of Victoria (Melbourne), and the Corcoran Gallery of Art (Washington D.C) collect his striking work.
