EnquireNanna Heitmann has captured climate change in Siberia (‘As Frozen Lands Burn’) and the Congo Basin (‘Beneath the Trees’), with work appearing in National Geographic, Time, and The New York Times. Joining Magnum Photos in 2019, she became a full member in 2023. Her visual journalism has earned major honours, including the Leica Oskar Barnack Newcomer Award (2019), the Olivier Rebbot Award for her Covid reporting in Russia, the Danish Siddiqui Award (2023) for ‘Putin’s Forever War’, as well as multiple World Press Photo Awards (including 2025). Her work has been widely exhibited, notably at the International Center of Photography (New York), the Nobel Peace Center (Oslo), and at galleries across Europe.
