Framing
Newsha Tavakolian: Summertime Bathers. For this picture, we recommend the 'BOX', a stylish frame that is slimmer from the front and deeper from the side. This contemporary method not only gives visual priority to the image but also fits seamlessly into most interiors. However, if you prefer a different look, other framing options are also available. Additionally, to ensure the highest levels of production, all of our frames are handcrafted to museum standards by one of the UK’s leading workshops. Please note that prices include tax, but exclude framing and shipping costs.
Shipping
We aim to ship unframed works within 2 weeks and framed works within 6 weeks. All orders are shipped from the UK and we always strive to deliver your print as quickly as possible. However, the delivery times may vary, depending on the specific artwork and your location. For exact details, please get in touch. Please note that prices include tax, but exclude framing and shipping costs.
Artwork In Detail
For over two decades, Newsha Tavakolian has documented life in her home country of Iran, offering a nuanced, personal perspective on everyday experiences. In a series for National Geographic, she captures the dramatic transformation of Lake Urmia, once the largest lake in the Middle East. The lake has lost 80% of its water and has become a deep red from Dunaliella algae. Against this vivid backdrop, Tavakolian documents people swimming and riding pedal boats in the crimson waters, highlighting both the resilience of human activity and the urgent environmental changes reshaping the landscape. Presented in collaboration with Magnum Photos.
