Entrepreneur Charles Jin’s World-Class Photography Collection 

In their weekly review, ‘What I Buy and Why’, Artnet explored entrepreneur Charles Jin’s world-class photography collection. His considerable holdings span 20th-century masters to contemporary stars, including Edward Weston, Aaron Siskind, Harry Callahan, Wolfgang Tillmans, Cindy Sherman, Thomas Ruff and Barbara Kruger. Jin owns approximately 90 signed Robert Mapplethorpe prints and could well be the world’s largest individual collector of Sally Mann, with a trove of approximately 80 pieces from her Immediate Family series.
