After 21 years, Elton John is selling 900 artworks from his Peachtree Road apartment in Atlanta, which the singer sold last year. Presenting at Christie’s in New York on the 21st February, the auction is predicted to fetch $10M. Alongside John’s impressive holdings of contemporary art, fashion and sculpture, sits his passion for photography. Separated into various themes, some of the collections on offer are titled, ‘Goodbye Peachtree Road’, ‘Love, Lust, and Devotion’ and ‘Elton’s Superstars’. The lots include important works by photographers such as Terry O’Neill, Elliott Erwitt, David Bailey, Eve Arnold, Cecil Beaton and Horst P Horst.
